What this calculator does
PMP = planned maintenance labor hours ÷ total maintenance labor hours × 100. It describes work mix, whereas schedule compliance describes whether a committed schedule was completed.
Inputs and formula
Use matching work-order and labor records for one stated reporting period; the formula and boundary are defined on this page.
When to use it
Use it to detect whether emergency, reactive, or unplanned corrective work is displacing planned work. Keep contractor treatment and overtime scope consistent.
Worked example and interpretation
320 planned hours out of 400 total maintenance hours gives 80%. The remaining 80 hours should be classified before an action is chosen.
Practical notes and limitations
“Planned” must mean more than a work-order label: define the required scope, estimate, materials, access, and job plan. This is not a separate reactive-versus-planned ratio page.
